In this issue of CT&F, one paper assesses the capacity to store CO₂ of reservoirs of the Middle Magdalena Valley basin in Colombia, showing the meso-Cenozoic formations may reach an effective CO2 storage capacity of 293 GTon.
In another paper, the rheology and droplet size of dissolved gas in water-in-extra-heavy-oil emulsions are studied at reservoir conditions, finding that dissolved gas decreases the viscosity of the emulsion.
A third paper manuscript explores the use of neural networks to optimize the water-alternating-gas injection technique.
A simulation model tries the use of a genetic improvised fuzzy logic PID controller with the intent to stabilize the quality of the electricity delivered by a wind energy system to a grid.
Finally, an experimental study is conducted to determine the optimal fuel injection parameters for a compression ignition engine operating with blends of fossil diesel and biodiesels produced from scum and used vegetable oils.
